Postdoctoral research associate on a Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) funded project investigating the role of de-glaciation on nutrient export from Patagonian river systems within the Bristol Glaciology Centre in the School of Geographical Sciences (PISCES Programme; NE/P003133/1). My role involved the analysis of environmental samples collected from remote field locations, the production of reports from large complex data sets, and ultimately, the production of high-quality scientific research papers in the field of aquatic biogeochemistry. In addition to my research activities, I was heavily involved in all levels of academic supervision, project management, and training including, MSc(R) and Ph.D students.

Postdoctoral lead on a work package of a Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) funded project investigating the nature and origins of dissolved organic matter in freshwater ecosystems (DOMAINE Programme; NE/K010689/1). The overall aim of this research project was to determine the origins and rates of DOC, DON and DOP flux to aquatic ecosystems from catchment sources, relative to total C, N and P flux as they vary in time and space in relation to atmospheric inputs, catchment character, hydrological function and the extent of nutrient enrichment.
