I am a current Computer Science major and former Biological Science major who initially pursued a pre-medical path, before discovering my passion for coding once I started to take an interest in watching other programmers develop software for the games I enjoyed playing. After pursuing other hobbies and activities to discover my passion in life, I am happy to say that programming is a burning passion of mine because I possess a genuine passion for tackling complex challenges and finding effective solutions and an appreciation for identifying the countless ways to achieve the same results in programming. Ultimately, I strive to continuously improve my craft no matter the obstacles or tasks at hand.My studies have provided me with broad proficiency in the use of engineering methods, programming languages, frameworks, and software packages and techniques. Specifically, however, I particularly enjoy coding with Java because It was the language I started my journey with as well as the one I am most familiar with, but I am always interested in learning new languages, frameworks, and technologies. I have also developed effective communication skills while staying involved in community and campus activities. Thanks to these developed skills, I am eager to put them into practice to not only benefit the next company I join, but also to improve myself in ways I never would have thought possible.My interests include gaming and collecting past consoles and games. I particularly have an appreciation for retro games as they were what paved the way for games that I enjoy today. As for my collection of past consoles and games, it has unfortunately become an expensive hobby, but one that brings so much enjoyment when I can get my hands on hard to come by finds. I also am an extremely family oriented person who enjoys spending my free time with family and/or friends.
