I provide specialist input for new commercial opportunities through time and motion analysis, to maximise vessel efficiencies in the safe and timely conduction of Ocean Bottom Node Seismic Surveys.Supporting ongoing Seismic Surveys operations I utilise a range of GIS tools to provide situational awareness, based upon spatial datasets covering bathymetry, field infrastructure, environmental and vessel movements.

In this role I helped support the creation of a safe and efficient environment in which the offshore navigation personnel work. This required proactive participation in the R&D of new equipment, also the development of technical procedures and instructions plus the implementation of new hardware and software. To gain a greater insight and to ensure the ongoing relevance and focus of my work, I have undertaken rotations offshore. Acting as a Navigator I have been able to better understand the department and the people I support from onshore.

I work as part of a small, hard-working team responsible for the cleanliness of the Harbour and attending to berth holder and visitor requirements. Working with minimum supervision the duties of the role included:• Maintain a professional marina operation ensuring that all customers and visitors enjoy a well- presented environment to include harbour cleaning, refuse control and grounds maintenance• Ensure the highest standards of customer service are delivered when assisting customers with berthing of vessels and general enquiries• Serving of diesel fuel to customers• Taking of payments for fuel, visitor berthing and other goods• Undertake maintenance and repair works across the marina and shore sites

Worked as part of a small but dedicated team in the day to day management of a 450 berths marina. The job including record keeping and administration, issuing invoicing and contracts, berthing allocation and towing vessels as well as providing first class customer service and supporting maintenance, yard and reception staff.

As a Deckhand working aboard large superyachts between 35 and 70 meters, I have participated in an extensive cruising program of the Mediterranean, Caribbean and eastern seaboard of the USA.Have worked as part of a team to provide bespoke experiences for elite clientele.Duties included maintain the exterior of the yacht, tenders and water sports equipment.Extensive bridge experience as well as coxswaining tenders, both prop and jet drives as well as other waterborne craft like PWC’s.

Whilst studying at UKSA gaining by RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean, I have sailed in a variety of yachts in the Solent, English Channel and coast of Northern France. I have been involved in all aspects of yacht management including skippering engineering and victualing. I have completed courses in areas of yacht maintenance including diesel, water and electrical systems, ship construction and finishing.

Working aboard Condor Ferries High Speed Catamarans, servicing the Channel Islands and the French ports of St Malo and Cherbourg, as a Category 3 seaman.Main priorities where to ensure the safety and security of the passengers and their vehicles, working as part of the deck team to secure the ship in port and to load and unload passengers and vehicles. Required to have a detailed knowledge of the ships structure and systems to carry out daily maintenance and inspection and as part of the ships emergency party to respond instinctively in the event of an urgent situation arising.

As a commissioned Warfare Officer in the Royal Navy (RN), I have served on active duty in waters of Northern Europe to the Middle East, primarily as a Ships Deck Officer. I have worked on a large range of vessels including HMS Enterprise, a RN Survey ship, conducting survey operations in the Middle East as well as Frigates and Fisheries Protection Vessels.As a leader I was required to competently and effectively direct and motivate those in my charge, being able to be, both flexible and pragmatic to ensure the desired outcome.Under supervision, I was delegated responsibility for the minute to minute running of a multi-million pound ship; responsible for the identification of risk and its management, balancing the needs of safety verses operational outcome. Responsible for the health, welfare and personnel development of junior co-workers, I was required to be their first point of contact for any issue affecting their professional or personal life.Promoting and informing the public about the RN and the exploits of the ship, I was responsible to the Press Officer for producing regular news updates for the ship’s website and affiliates as well as showing the ship to visiting dignities and members of the press and public.
