Chris Bernardo is the President and CEO of Commercial District Services, LLC (CDS), a public space management company with management and operations offices in Jersey City, Newark, and Bloomfield. CDS provides a full-service approach to Special Improvement District management, including Association/DMC Management, financial services, cleaning/sanitation, placemaking, and public safety management.Through his work as a public space manager, Chris works closely with BID board members, municipal staff, local law enforcement, elected officials, and district stakeholders to develop and implement a broad range of public space improvement programs, including: Streetscape Improvements, Outdoor Maintenance and Sanitation, Quality-of-Life Management, Public Safety Supervision/Advocacy, and Public Space Event Programming.Chris is a graduate of Montclair State University, with a degree in Political Science, and is a former member of AmeriCorps, in which he served as a Project Manager for the Montana Conservation Corps. Chris and his wife Nathalia, along with their two children, live in Verona, New Jersey.
