Dr. Christopher Bowlin returns home to East Tennessee after completing his professional training at the University of Louisville. His straight forward treatment philosophy is centered around comprehensive foot and ankle care and evidence based medicine. Special interests include all aspects of elective foot and ankle surgery, revision surgery as well as reconstructive surgical procedures of the foot and ankle including deformity correction, total joint replacement, as well as diabetic limb salvage/Charcot foot. His aim is to make Faculty Physicians a Center of Excellence for all patients.

At the Level 1 Trauma Center of University of Louisville, Dr. Bowlin completed a 3 year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Certification.
Dr. Bowlin is uniquely qualified to provide comprehensive foot and ankle care. He brings advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive surgery, deformity correction and diabetic foot care with a focus on diabetic limb salvage and Charcot foot to East Tennessee.Specialties: Foot and ankle reconstruction, complex fractures and non-unions, sports injuries, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, total ankle joint replacement surgery, osteochondritis dissecans (OCD lesions), stem cell utilization and bone grafting, platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy, bunion and toe surgery, flatfoot reconstruction, limb salvage, cartilage preservation techniques, avascular necrosis, and pediatric orthopedics.
