As a founding partner, Chris has been with CFG Wealth Management since the firm's inception in 2005. In his role as chief investment strategist, Chris oversees the firm's investment research and securities trading operations. He is also responsible for developing CFG's overall investment strategy and asset allocation models. Chris enjoys educating CFG clients about risk and how their own risk tolerance should be factored into a long-term strategy.Previously, Chris worked for 11 years as a financial advisor at MONY, where he utilized his in-depth understanding of issues facing business owners. He earned a BA in international studies from Portland State University. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), Chris possesses a thorough understanding of legislative issues, fiduciary best practices, and a commitment to the standards of investment fiduciary excellence.Chris is actively involved in the local community. To show his appreciation for the extraordinary medical care his wife, Liz, received when their first son was born, Chris served for 12 years as a board member and investment committee member for the Meridian Park Medical Foundation. His passion for health care issues also extends overseas. Chris served as a volunteer in Uganda, helping to establish a mobile hospital that provided much-needed medical care to several thousand people. He and his family have traveled to Rwanda, where they sponsor multiple children. Their sponsorship provides for education, nutrition, and health care for their sponsor children and families.Chris is an avid trail runner and currently competes in ultramarathons. In February 2023, Chris achieved his long-time dream of summiting Mount Kilimanjaro. Chris and his sons enjoy adventures in the Pacific Northwest and the Rockies.
