The Environmental and Land Use Law Section, part of The Florida Bar, is dedicated to serving the interests of over 2,000 members and affiliates through educational programs and publications. The section sponsors five to six seminars and workshops during the year, and offers course materials from past programs. The Section's two volume treatise Florida Environmental and Land Use Law is a comprehensive guide to the field. The Section Reporter, a quarterly newsletter, publishes topical articles, as well as current information on section programs, agency updates, state and federal caselaw, and appellate activity. The Section Column in The Florida Bar Journal, is a regular forum for scholarly writing. For members of the public, the Section publishes a series of brochures on environment and land use law topics. The Section's activities are governed by an Executive Council and conducted through several Committees. The Office of General Counsel provides legal counsel and represents the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. The office focuses on Florida’s environmental priorities, such as restoring America’s Everglades; improving air quality; restoring and protecting the water quality in Florida’s springs, lakes, rivers and coastal waters; conserving environmentally sensitive lands; and providing citizens and visitors with varied recreational opportunities.

The ELC is a not-for -profit law firm dedicated to representing the public interest in environmental and land use matters. The ELC's mission is to use advocacy, negotiation and litigation to protect and restore Florida's ecosystems. The ELC pursues an aggressive agenda based on adherence to the scientific requirements and economic and social realities of development impacts on the people and ecosystems of Florida. Their expertise and advocacy in land use and development permitting before local, state and federal courts and administrative bodies is part of a concerted effort to protect and sustain this state’s unique and irreplaceable ecosystems and communities.

Legal Aid Service of Broward County’s mission is to provide high quality free civil legal advice, representation and education to the disadvantaged of Broward County so as to improve the lifestyle and living conditions of the low income community and encourage self-sufficiency.

The Division of Enforcement litigates civil contempt and civil penalty actions to enforce federal court injunctions and administrative orders in FTC consumer protection cases; coordinates FTC actions with criminal law enforcement agencies through its Criminal Liaison Unit; develops, reviews, and enforces a variety of consumer protection rules; coordinates multi-pronged initiatives to address current consumer protection issues; and administers the Bureau of Consumer Protection's bankruptcy program.
