Manager of municipal facilities, entrusted with overseeing planning, developing, and directing a comprehensive public facilities operations, maintenance, repair, Capital construction, and renovation program for facilities within the Town and Board of Education. Recent achievements include spearheading major projects such as the extensive renovation program for all of the Town's elementary schools, with the strategic consolidation from 10 to 6 schools. Phase 2 of this initiative features the pioneering endeavor of establishing New England's first verified Net Zero Energy public school, Buckley Elementary, alongside two additional geothermal Net Zero Energy renovations of Bowers and Keeney schools. I'm presently working to incorporate renewable geothermal energy systems into a fully electric New Manchester Library with the feasibility of a community geothermal network to serve other municipal and private buildings along Manchester's Main Street corridor. Manager of a 35-system investor-owned water utility, a contract operations business serving over 100 public water supply systems, and a waterworks construction and maintenance services business. Responsibilities included project engineering, contract negotiations, construction project management, oversight of subcontractors and consultants, business development, regulatory and legal affairs, capital planning, staffing decisions, and management of 15 full-time employees. This operation is now part of the Connecticut Water Company serving Eastern Connecticut.
