Key role responsibilities:-- Driving sales and footfall through high store standards, great availability and impactful promotional compliance and fantastic customer service.- Developing my team of Store Managers through coaching and driving them behaviourally using structured performance development plans.- Monitoring Store and Area profit and loss accounts periodically to ensure all KPI`s are met.- Playing a big part in the store teams development as a HR Support Manager.- Completing quarterly Health & Safety/Food Safety/Forecourt diligence audits and ensuring corrective measures are applied as required.- Liaising directly with Head Office departments to improve the in store offer e.g, work streams.Key Achievements:-In my first 12 months as Area Manager at G&E Murgatroyd SPAR I achieved the accolade of best performing Area Manager versus all key performance indicators for the financial year 2015/2016.-Consistent track record delivering enhanced cash contribution e.g. delivered like for like net profit growth in 2015/16 by being uncompromising about costs across all KPI’s including a £150k saving on payroll versus the previous year.- Volunteered to participate in numerous work streams including working with Marketing on a sales driving project and working with IT on a Business Information project to simplify reporting at all levels.My latest work stream is with the Marketing team and buyers, I meet with them every three weeks and advise on products to be displayed on promotional space in all Company owned stores. Engaged with colleagues at every step to ensure they were kept up to date with the progress.- Successfully re-launched nine store re-fits in 2014 with minimum disruption to the business.- Selected to launch the pilot of the £750,000 investment fresh format concept in 2012 followed by its £600,000 investment successor in 2014. They showed a 38% and 22% uplift in sales respectively.- Took charge of the pilot Manchester city centre store which was under performing. Tasked with getting all KPI’s to budget. This was achieved in the first year and as a result a further three city centre stores were opened over the next two years.- Re-developed the first six Somerfield stores acquired by The Co-operative Group in its 2009, £1.565b acquisition.
