For an attorney who graduated law school only 2 years ago, I have a history of assuming an unusual amount of responsibility early on. I also have uniquely diverse professional experience that spans judicial clerkships, private practice litigation, the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the New Jersey Governor’s Office. A snapshot of my background includes:► Serving as the Chief of Staff at NJDOT, I manage communications, regulations, and policy for this 3,200+ person agency.► Practicing transactional and litigation work with the prominent law firm of Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP.► Performing Judicial Externships in law school as well as a Judicial Clerkship for a year following law school, where I performed legal research, drafted decisions and attended trials to expedite the judge’s 400+ case docket.► Working as an aid to New Jersey governor Philip Murphy between college and law school.► Elected to public office (the Hamilton Township Board of Education) at age 18, where I represented the twelfth largest school district in the state, which serves nearly 11,000 students with a $200M budget. I was a key player in establishing a comprehensive equity plan to ensure equal access to education for all students, passing the District’s first Transgender Student Policy, and negotiating renewal of the Hamilton Township Education Association’s contract.► Recognized by various publications and organizations for my public service and leadership skills.Whether I am advocating for others in litigation matters or in public service, I am driven by my desire to improve individual lives and communities. It was a given path for me to choose the “helping” professions of government, politics, and the law. My other motivator is the desire to improve myself both professionally and personally. Confident without being boastful, it is natural for me to assume leadership roles and navigate gracefully through high-pressure situations. All of my employers have commended me for my work ethic personality, and eagerness to learn.
