Worked with Professor Marianne Hatzopoulou's Transportation and Air Quality Research Group towards developing an exposure surface for fine particulate matter in Toronto to test the association between residential concentrations of certain airborne nanoparticles and fine particles with adverse neurological outcomes.Used ArcGIS to determine optimal locations for ~150 sampling devices to capture variability of road density, population density, land use, tree cover, etc while maximizing spatial coverage across the City of Toronto.Conducted an online and door-to-door campaign to find ~80 participants willing to install powered samplers in their backyards. Communicated in lay terms the purpose of the sampling campaign to potential participants.Organized the installation campaign and takedown of all air samplers.Assisted in creating a VISSIM simulation on the effects of the King Street Pilot project.
