I'm currently an assistant Manager within Visitor Services at the Palace of Westminster. I am line-managing a team of direct reports and overseeing the wider team during the daily operation. I lead and motivate a team of guides to deliver inspiring tours of the Palace of Westminster and help to welcome visitors on to the Parliamentary estate. I have a portfolio of projects but my main one is the Tour Management of the State Rooms of Speaker's House. I often support my team as a qualified guide when the operation demands to ensure guests recieve a world-class and engaging tour of Parliament.Previously I worked as a Warden in the State Rooms of Windsor Castle for the Royal Household engaging with guests and highlighting the historical and current uses of rooms. I have worked in as a security guard for Historical Royal Palaces based at Hampton Court Palace. Prior to this I held a Civil Service position - working in Government Administration within the Home Office. I worked as part of the Detention Engagement Team at Colnbrook, Heathrow where I processed detainees. I worked in collaboration with the Home Office, Immigration Enforcement, the Police and the Ministry of Justice.At Heathrow I worked for almost 13 years for British Airways. I held a variety of roles in my tenure starting as a check-in agent, a supervisor, air cabin crew, learning and development advisor and operations manager. I worked across terminals 1, 3 and 5.
