I can’t disclose all for obvious reasons. Travelled the world and seen some amazing places! •Prioritised the daily work after attending briefings with senior staff to identify and clarify any changes in the expected program of work.•Used my initiative to manage issues with any equipment which arose in the workplace, liaising with internal and external departments for additional support if required. •Carried out risk assessment and Health and Safety checks on the immediate work environment and completed all relevant paperwork to allow work to be carried out on any Mechanical or Electrical system. •Responsible for controlled access to and from different compartments ensuring control of substances hazardous to health. (COSHH) and policed the use of Personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable. •Completed relevant paperwork on incidents and security, updating senior staff of any changes. •Carried out general maintenance on different parts of machinery, whilst also rectifying any defects that would occur in a safe and controlled manner.

During my time as an apprentice bricklayer I had my first taste into the construction industry, this included working long hard days whilst attending a local college at least 1 day a week to achieve my NVQ level 2. I had to complete a portfolio showing myself working as a team, working with specific construction plans and erect and construct certain models and different brick work structures.Also my supervisors gave me the opportunity to lead and liaise with other companies and suppliers whilst also testing me on my own initiative to complete the task in hand within the timeline and making sure that it was completed to the customer’s satisfaction. Finally having to work sometimes on a site I had to make sure I had a valid CSCS card and to read and observe all site health and safety board’s complying to all there health and safety rules and wearing the correct PPE at all times. Key achievements whilst working as an apprentice bricklayer.• Achieving my NVQ Level 2 in Trowel Occupations.• Being able to work successfully as a team whilst also being able to work on my own with great expectation.• Liaise with other contractors and suppliers allowing work to run smoothly and never going over the projected deadline.
