CurrentSIFMA promotes efficient capital markets and represents the interests of broker dealers and asset managers. I am responsible for the our securitization and credit-related activities. I engage market participants (in trading, banking, legal/compliance, regulatory affairs and operations functions) to build consensus, develop market standards and best practices, and advocate on their behalf to U.S./global regulators, members of Congress and their staff, and represent SIFMA at conferences and in the media. SecuritizationSIFMA has a special focus on the agency MBS markets and trading practices related to the TBA market, and we serve as a central point of information for market participants and policymakers. Our primary mandates in this market include regulatory reform, the implementation of a single security for TBA trading, FINRA 4210 margin requirements, securitization capital requirements, the SEC's rules on conflicts of interest in securitizations (Rule 192), and GSE/housing finance reform. Corporate Credit We cover issues such as fixed income market structure, TRACE reporting, SEC rule 15c2-11 and its application to fixed income, best execution, Reg ATS, and other things. I am also responsible for the planning and execution of SIFMA's Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) Conference.LIBOR TransitionRepresented SIFMA on the Federal Reserve’s Alternative Reference Rates Committee (ARRC). Involved in creation of a legislative solution to the rather significant legacy transactions without fallbacks problem.I joined the Bond Market Association (became SIFMA) in 2005 as the analyst for the MBS and Securitized Products Division. Prior to joining SIFMA, I was an accountant in the Retail Securitization Accounting and Investor Reporting group at JPMorgan Chase & Co., and was responsible for investor reporting and other administration of auto, student loan, and mortgage securitization transactions.
