We added many new features that enabled for a more flexible deploy. Upon release the application successfully deployed updates to 1,500 machines. The program was so successful that, shortly after deployment, five more applications within the company utilized this process for updates. The actual update process was encapsulated into a DLL that was written in C# and could be consumed by a variety of applications. Updates were pushed via an ASP site. Features included the ability to notify uses real-time via SignalR push technology.
