Successfully achieved the 24 x 7 monitoring the WAN circuit connections between Siemens and its retail customer sites, without errors or missed alerts. Acted quickly and decisively to minimize customer impact (loss of Siemens applications) due to any WAN circuit failures, by engaging in appropriate troubleshooting techniques. • Supported all single and dual-routed WAN links on the Siemens HS Customer Retail WAN (encompassing ATM, Frame-relay, full and fractional T-1’s, & VPN’s) to over 500 Health Services Organization in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Also monitored and supported thousands of Siemens SNA PU’s & LU’s on the customer LANs. • Responsible for maintaining overall connectivity across 4 distinct Siemens networks… the HS Retail Customer WAN, HS Retail ISC Infrastructure network, HS Malvern Campus network, and the MED USA WAN. • Supported multiple Cisco hardware types, such as Cisco 2500, 2600, 2800, 3800, and 7200 Series routers, Cisco Content Engines, PIX and ASA firewalls, and Cisco 2900, 3500, 4500, & 6500 Series switches. • Utilized network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as CA Unicenter Console, NetScout, Concord, CiscoWorks, Network General Distributed Sniffer, and WireShark. • Successfully completed troubleshooting of network, server, and application issues between the Siemens ASP environment and the customer LAN. Cross-trained to support Siemens proprietary applications such as Invision, Openlink, and Soarian Clinicals / Financials. • Worked with hardware vendors (various TLCO companies, Blackbox, and Cisco) to replace malfunctioning hardware equipment / devices such as WIC’s, external CSU’s, routers, dial-up modems, network cables, etc. . • Consistently met or exceeded departmental and personal performance stats. • Total of 4 positions held: Network Operations Specialist (I & II), I.T. Technician III, and Programmer Analyst I.• Worked in the largest Healthcare data center in the U.S.A.
