Working as the park supervisor helped me gain a new perspective about the community I live in while giving me new skills that will be critical in my future career. I worked with local law enforcement to help promote a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone in the park. I oversaw day to day activities that contributed to the park programs running on time and efficiently. Seeing the youth of the community on a day to day basis helped me realize how important these programs are to everyone involved. It opened my eyes to how the park district operates and how important the park is to my community.

In working closely with league managers, I learned how to develop and keep professional relationships and how park recreational athletics affect the community and the people within the community.
