• Provide substantive legal analysis and advice to the Clerk of Court and operations staff. • Supervise the Clerk’ Office Operations Manager, Administrative/Financial Manager, Operations Support Group (Programming Manager, Data Quality Analyst and Case Administrator II), and Internal Control Self-Assessment team. • Guide operations staff through the procedural management of the Court’s caseload, with specific responsibility for the tracking and transmission of appeals-related pleadings and records to the District Court and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.• Serve on the Court Operations Group and as an administrator of the Employee Recognition Program.

• Direct the Court’s Local Rules Committee by facilitating its annual review, conducting rules-related legal research, and drafting local rules and court forms revisions. • Develop and present training to operations staff on Court policies and procedures, U.S. Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and local rules. • Administer the Court’s pro bono and pro se programs and furnish procedural guidance to pro se parties.• Manage the Court’s IU McKinney judicial externship program.

• Represented individual and small business debtors, creditors, chapter 7 trustees and creditors’ committees in all aspects of chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings.• Represented individual debtors, corporations and single asset real estate debtors in successful chapter 11 reorganizations, including: preparation of petitions and schedules, first-day motions, plans of reorganization and disclosure statements, monthly debtor-in-possession reports, motions to compel state court receivers, for the entry of cash collateral orders and final decrees, to sell real property and fee applications, defense of motions to modify the automatic stay and dismiss cases, and negotiation of settlement agreements with secured creditors. • Developed and assisted in the implementation of business policies and strategy for collection of monies due to regional union fringe benefit funds as creditors in numerous bankruptcy cases concurrently pending throughout the United States. • Managed all aspects of numerous commercial and business litigation cases in state and federal courts, including drafting complaints and answers, motions and supporting memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, arguing motions, examining witnesses, taking and defending depositions and drafting and negotiating settlement agreements. • Advised clients on contractual and leasing matters including drafting, negotiation and enforcement.• Represented debtors in negotiations of workouts and reorganization of bank debt.
