I have always been excited when it comes to technology. Whenever something in my house with electronics breaks, I am the go to guy. The best part of working with technology is the hands on experience I can get. This ranges from building a computer to setting up a simple modem. Even though I am comfortable behind a monitor, I also enjoy interacting with people around me.I have volunteered in the Little Village neighborhood to give back to the community that raised me. I have volunteered to be in the Mexican Independence Day parades, speak to youth in Little Village about high school and post high school options, and at one point ran an engineering program with a teacher. Outside of Little Village, I had multiple video game tournaments that had 20 to 30 players and also volunteered to be a commentator for tournaments.The IT field is always changing and what was cutting edge last month is now obsolete. Because of this I am adaptable to what is needed. I can work by myself or with a team and perform my best in both. Having a task that requires a new skill is not a deterrent to me. I am motivated by my hunger to learn and I am willing to do the research needed when a problem with no obvious solution is presented. With these attributes, I plan to go above and beyond the minimum work required and will seek leadership roles when I am experienced enough in the field.
