As an NCIS Special Agent I am responsible for the investigation of a variety of general crimes to include larcenies, assaults, arson, and other various felony level crimes. I was further responsible for conducting investigations into sexual assaults, economic crime, and drug investigations. During my tenure with NCIS I have investigated approximately 200 criminal investigations. Within each investigation I was responsible for receiving and determining the purview of the allegation; conducting victim and witness interviews; conduct crime scene processing, which included photographing and documenting the crime scene, as well as evidence identification and collection; conducting subject interviews; sending collected evidence to USACIL or DCFL for further forensic examination; preparing detailed reports documenting all investigative activity; obtaining search warrants when needed; briefing Commanders and Lawyers on the investigation; and giving final briefings to victims at the conclusion of the investigation.

As the CID ALC Small Group Leader it was my responsibility to train the future CID leaders. The training provided by me was a conglomerate of Special Agent tasks comprised of Hostage Negotiations, CID Recruitment, Detachment Sergeant Duties, Evidence Room Procedures, and Crime Scene Processing to include evidence identification, preservation, and collection. I was hand selected by the top echelon to perform duties as the only CID ALC Small Group Leader and was chosen over more senior agents eligible for this position.

As a CID Special Agent I was personally responsible for the proper handling and conduct of over 150 cases during my tenure. Within each investigation I was responsible for receiving and determining the purview of the allegation; conducting victim and witness interviews; conduct crime scene processing, which included photographing and documenting the crime scene, as well as evidence identification and collection; conducting subject interviews; sending collected evidence to USACIL for further forensic examination; preparing detailed reports documenting all investigative activity; obtaining search warrants when needed; briefing Commanders and Lawyers on the investigation; and giving final briefings to victims at the conclusion of the investigation. I further served as the Evidence Custodian for the Fort Carson CID Office. As the Evidence Custodian it was my responsibility to maintain, safeguard, and when appropriate, dispose of evidence in accordance with our regulation. As the Evidence Custodian I was responsible for over 800 evidence vouchers and over 2,000 pieces of individual evidence. Items of evidence ranged from Homicide Investigations to drug evidence. I was consistently sought out by key leaders to provide input on proper evidence identification, preservation, and collection. Due to my subject matter expertise, I was sought out to identify areas that could be improved upon and to create an index system that would help future Evidence Custodians manage the evidence room more effectively.

As a Pneudraulic repairer I was responsible for the safe and timely repair of hydraulic and pneumatic components. I served as a Technical Inspector during this time wherein I was responsible for inspecting and verifying that each component was properly repaired and installed. I further served as the Pneudraulic shop Squad Leader responsible for 9 Soldiers.

I served as a Military Policeman responsible for the welfare and safety of Fort Sill and its occupants. My responsibilities included ensuring all traffic laws were enforced and followed as well as safeguarding the installation during heightened threat levels.
