Updates to Drupal were managed using Drush in order to keep changes in the codebase and version control.The team used Scrum for project management and the cadence was Daily Stand Ups in the morning, with mornings and afternoons for writing code.While on the project we migrated to using d3 for graphical display of data.The site was both an internal and external tool for the government. Data was uploaded, validated against business rules and format, and processed for management use and display.A major part of the project was coordinating with the Electronic Capital Planning and Investment Control (eCPIC) community. Schema changes were a regular occurrence as reporting rules started to migrate to reflect the Technology Business Management (TBM) model and priorities changed. Show less

I also worked closely with the Chief Data Officer in the development of the agency's Open Data Policy.Applications are developed on a LAMP stack.We pride ourselves on our close contact with users during development which leads to much better products.The time we spend with users is the primary reason our products get the positive feedback that they do.We build products with a focus on improving work and information flows.I was COR Level II certified and successfully managed 2 contracts while at USAID. These datasets were based on the Fatal Accident Reporting System (FARS) database. Due to the limited power of the computers and the size of the databases, complex queries could take hours to run.
