Chris is Senior Director, Investor Network, at Ceres, focused on mobilizing investor action to tackle the climate crisis. Ceres is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the economy to build a just and sustainable future for people and the planet.Among his roles at Ceres since 1997, Chris co-founded the Ceres Investor Network on Climate Risk and Sustainability in 2003, co-founded the Ceres policy program in 2009, and has helped facilitate international investor initiatives on climate change since 2012 including the Climate Action 100+ initiative, the Investor Agenda, the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative, and the Paris Aligned Asset Owners initiative.

Provided fundraising and organizational development consulting for the Environmental Leadership Program (ELP). ELP was in start-up phase in 2000 and is now a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring visionary, action-oriented and diverse leadership to work for a just and sustainable future. Led the Democracy Project aimed at increasing the civic participation of 18-to-24 year-olds.

The Center for Environmental Citizenship (CEC) was a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving student environmental leadership and civic participation that Chris co-founded with Brian Trelstad and others in 1992 as an undergraduate at Yale. CEC operated as an independent non-profit organization from 1993 to 2005 and then was acquired by the League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (www.lcvef.org) in 2006.
