Manages and supports a $750,000/year cellular imaging and analysis product line consisting of protein labeling systems encompassing a total of over 50 products which enable the specific, covalent attachment of virtually any molecule to a protein of interest. Performs in vivo and in vitro quality control assays on kit components to continually improve and optimize functionality. Promotes product line at appropriate scientific conferences and gives detailed presentations of the product line at other venues. Handles technical support and customer inquiries.

Managed and supported an inducible gene expression kit which uses a synthetic ligand for precise control of gene expression in mammalian cells. Also handled corresponding cell lines to be used in conjunction with the kit. Conducted research on kit components to continually improve and optimize functionality. Provided genetic and molecular biology support on both Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) projects, including genetic screening and SNP analysis, as well as work characterizing nuclear receptors for novel nematicide discovery using C. elegans as a model organism. Involved in screening model organisms, discovering and characterizing mutations, and implementing therapeutic discovery pipelines. Performed a wide range of assigned research experiments with minimal supervision. Contributed to the design of well-defined experimental protocols, exercised technical judgment in the execution of specialized procedures, and interpreted complex results. Initiated routine and non-routine problem investigation and recommended solutions where appropriate. Developed hypotheses based on in-depth analysis of experimental results and calculations.
