I have been a part of the vibrant community of Pendle for the last four years, working in partnership and committed to addressing local issues. Despite facing challenges such as deprivation, poor health outcomes, physical inactivity, obesity, and inequalities, I have been determined to make a difference for the people of Pendle.I was excited to take on the role of Healthy Lifestyles Manager. In this role, I championed Pendle’s place-based working approaches, worked to remove barriers to physical activity, tested and learned from different interventions, and challenged the system to deliver better health outcomes.As a Sport England Place Partner, I managed and coordinated the delivery of Together an Active Pendle (TaAP) and the Pendle Up and Active Team. These teams were instrumental in delivering various cutting-edge health interventions, programmes, and whole-system approaches.I am a dynamic, enthusiastic individual with project management experience in public health teams, local authorities, and leisure trusts.As a strategic thinker, I have driven system change, ‘joined up the dots’, and inspired others. I thrived on collaborative working and was willing to step out of my comfort zone to try new and bold ways of doing things.
