This is for the Planning and Performance Department for a large global pharmaceutical company. The introduction of new project planning methodologies means the development of a new Project Structure to be shared across applications and processes, all of which are business critical. We organised the business to be able to clearly define their requirements and make sure that their needs would be met in the new systems.I am working at a technical as well as more strategic and conceptual level, with the need to take people through the practical steps to make the changes required. We integrated with other transversal initiatives in the organisation at the same time, managing an array of complexity.I was also seconded to co-ordinate a task force to develop and deliver an interim solution for performing global forecast exercise for 2011 clinical development (budget approx. 400million Euros) using newly developed data dimensions, as the systems envisaged to be used for this purpose were not ready. This involved mapping a notional WBS to Cost Element/Cost Centres and then distributing to Cost Centre managers to enter budget by project for the first time. -
Sap Master Data Specialist ProjectGlaxosmithkline Biologicals Jan 2010 - Sep 2010Brentford, Middlesex, GbI have been working with a team in the Pharmaceutical Industry on behalf of the business to help drive data quality improvement throughout the organisation. In order to achieve this aim I specified, designed and built a query tool to access SAP data via RFC, devised a set of Rules objects that the business could use to define business rules. From these objects we automatically produced query language that analysed existing and new master data and produced KPI’s showing the percentage of data that was deviating from recommended values as well as the amount of data that was generating errors or warnings to highlight potential business impact. In addition we developed a validation module that allows users to manage the validation of large amounts of data by letting them focus on data by work-stream and by issue or error. This was used to help manage the master data for new roll-outs, as well as post validating data for existing plants/sites.The tool itself was designed not only to provide visibility to a problem otherwise largely hidden, but also to help focus attention on two main things:• Integration across processes• Value of coherent Master DataAs a result the current understanding of the importance of master data has been enhanced, new roll-outs master data is of much better quality and we are now looking to use the toolset as a blueprint for integrating directly within SAP. Further initiatives have now been launched on the back of this to address master data issues.This toolset is now being leveraged onto the SAP platform to give real-time rules based validation to users.

Involved installation of water pumps and drilling of water bores. Pumping using solar panels and also wind power. Water was used to maintain livestock in western Australian arid savannah regions. We ran a commercial cattle station with 5000 head of cattle and 140 horses. Learnt real cowboy skills and real life management under stress, as well as many techniques for personal, interpersonal strengths and managing group dynamics.Results: best livestock quality brought to market from the region, plus research on the Biome was then used to populate the savannah biome in Biosphere 2 in Arizona.
