Greetings everyone and welcome to my LinkedIn portfolio. I want to start off by sharing a little bit about myself. I graduated from The University of Alabama in 2005 with a BS in Marketing, and continued my studies online earning a Master's degree in Project Management from Colorado Technical University in 2014. I'm currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Digital Communication from my alma mater, The University of Alabama.After graduating from college, I pursued work in different industries. I've worked at a major advertising agency, held sales positions for various companies, then eventually settled and worked in the trade school sector, where I advanced into a department director role. Then in 2019 I had a major career change, can began working as a human resources professional, a role which I find great pleasure in currently.I would say that my personal brand would be that of a never give up attitude. I don't feel that there's anything that I can't accomplish. With hard work and perseverance, I feel confident that I can achieve most tasks that come my way.Outside of work, some of my interest include sports (Roll Tide!), reading about the local economy and business, and spending time with my wife and kids. My current goals would be number one, to successfully complete my graduate coursework in Digital Communication. My perspective on social media is that although it is vast, with time and observation, it can be a extremely powerful tool and communication channel for marketing efforts. I want to incorporate what I am learning about social media, and use this to successfully create strategies to help with employee relations.
