Characterized the impact of time, temperature, volume, and concentrated buffers on binding of ligated circles to consumable surfaces. In Sweden, I utilized a documented duplex TaqMan PCR method to quantify mitochondrial abundance by isolating DNA from vastus lateralis samples. Then, using Bioconductor, I analyzed transcriptomic NGS datasets by adjusting it to this new mitochondrial data. This was done in order to specifically investigate the upregulation of mitochondrial genes in response to long-term exercise after adjustment. After comparing the adjusted/unadjusted data sets, I am still exploring the intricate correlation between upregulated/downregulated KEGG pathways and increased mitochondrial abundance, providing valuable insights into the relationship between mitochondrial function and exercise-based differential gene expression.

Worked with external venues in order to coordinate catering and event planning services. Coordinated with these parties as well as internal members to put on an extensive awards ceremony recognizing both members of the organization as well as the community. Multiple months of planning and organizing orders necessary for all three events culminated in a well-planned and successful event for family to enjoy.

Helped to construct a sixty foot long by twenty foot tall structure comprised of 17 separate hexagonal gates. The parabolic structure was built using different lengths of wood that needed to be cut and burned in order to match the artistic aesthetic. Each piece of wood was connected by metal brackets that were wielded together and painted. After the structure was complete, PIR motion sensors were used in conjunction with LED light strips to mimic colors and sounds around the structure.

Learned how to effectively communicate with customers, both selling products as well as working with them in the field. Both cash and credit card orders were taken in different locations, encouraging quick thinking and good communication skills. Followed food abundant safety rules, ensuring product was not tainted and able to be delivered.
