  • United Technologies
    Senior System Engineer
    United Technologies Feb 2017 - Sep 2018
    Farmington, Ct, Us
Contractor with the Systems Group at UTAS in Sensors & Integrated Systems (SIS) working on video surveillance systems products. An extensive user of the document creation and delivery process through Change Order and the Teamcenter tools. I also proved proficient in the use of the DOORS requirements capture and analysis tools for proper requirements capture and traceability in an Airbus, Boeing, and internal UTAS process. ▪ Responsible for complete system architecture and design of a COTS based video surveillance system with a controller and sensor and deployment. Integral to support business development in the establishment of requirements from varying propositions of operation and the extension from the standalone camera to the network system of cameras.▪ The redesign of a fielded Airbus A320 aircraft video system for robustness and yield improvement effort. Inherited the Systems leadership of the redesign involving understanding and documenting the implications of the changes to the requirements and testing and that communications to Airbus.▪ Brought to closure engineering design work done to fix the problems with a legacy video system for the Boeing 737MAX. This involved the release documentation and similarity analysis for a new video interface unit part number as required by Boeing. Documented and planned Boeing required FAA qualification upgrades of cameras to the latest RTCA/D0-160 levels.

Intel Post Silicon Validation and Debug for the Digital Home Group (DHG) involves more than the title implies. Pre-Silicon: Our validation team impacts silicon design by do pre silicon validation in an emulation environment using models built from the RTL used in design of our silicon.Post-Silicon: We are the team that boots 1st silicon when it is delivered from manufacturing and must solve problems in a time compressed manner to enable wide deployment to other validation teams.Validation: Our team has validation responsibilites for system and circuit marginality over voltage, temperature, and silicon skew. We are also heavily involved in the enginerring of the bios including the memory stabilization and configuration of the final product.Debug: We delve into all facets of the problems and issues that arise from all teams doing validation by leading the forums and task forces created to identify root causes. We also root cause issues which arise from I/O and memory Logic and Circuit for many of the interfaces on DHG silicon.
