Lead outreach and engagement efforts with MSU alumni and entrepreneurs on the behalf of the robust student entrepreneurship ecosystem at the University.

I collaborate with fundraisers, academic advisors, a communication manager, an alumni relations coordinator, and other staff engaged in career development and employer relations, to engage employers and alumni in supporting internships for students. I partner with companies locally, regionally, and nationally to develop new internships and promote existing career opportunities to students. I also create programming focused on career development while engaging alumni for stewardship and discovery opportunities. Key Accomplishments • Created an annual, comprehensive science and health-focused career exposure event, featuring corporate sponsors and 30+ alumni from industry, that saw nearly 100% increase in student attendance from year 2 to year 3 • Designed and constructed the first ever Employer Internship Guide for the College of Natural Science, a resource used by alumni and companies to assist with starting strong internship programs • Identified and cultivated relationship-building opportunities during face-to-face meetings with nearly 100 companies over 36 months to develop and promote internships for students • Initiated a new marketing campaign to engage students by using e-marketing tools like Constant Contact and launching brand new monthly and weekly digital newsletters• Developed proficiency with Simplicity career services software and alumni/development software Show less
