Dedicated to providing the highest quality of services, we strive to propel young adults toward success as they journey through their transition to independence.In my role I coordinate the team in providing individualized services depending on needs for a wide range of topics from money management, grocery shopping and cooking, and household and community navigation skills.

Oversaw the daily operations of the field to support guides, students, and uphold policies to achieve student outcomes in a residential care facility• Coordinated communication, and implementation of information from Clinical, Logistics, and Wellness Departments• Monitored students and staff for safety and security and managed group dynamics in a therapeutic environment for students in crisis. Held responsibility as the prime component of risk management for the facility in which I worked. • Implemented treatment and wellness plans for students in our care as designed by clinical and wellness teams• Led educational lessons over cross-cultural topics, hard skills of gardening, and life-skills such as communication• Program Guide supervision: supported professional development by continuous training, goal setting, and feedback.

Pacific Quest is a horticultural therapy program for adolescents and young adults. Working in the Young Adult program we accept students from 18 - 25 years of age and dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, history of suicidal ideation, history of substance abuse, and those on the autism spectrum. As a Lead Guide my responsibilities include basic safety, supervision, and daily needs of the students as well as maintaining the individualized treatment plans for each student and facilitating group sessions in a therapeutic environment.

Program Design & Event Planning• Designed and implemented a 5-day youth camp for 45 boys between the ages of 14 and 18 with an overall theme of gender equality • Organized and led a 4-day camp for secondary school students covering topics of sexual and reproductive health, and gender diversity. This project brought together fellow Peace Corps volunteers as well as representatives from three public and private NGOs.• Created a program manual to be implemented by other health educators at the national level and international level • Collaborated with a private NGO to provide healthy lifestyle courses to secondary school students in three schools and a consistently running youth-group to cover topics of sexual and reproductive health and life skills. • Peer Support Network: Co-chair of a committee aimed at assisting to maintain the mental and emotional wellness of fellow volunteers during their service. Lead event planning for mental health retreats• Regional representative to staff for volunteer issuesMonitoring and Evaluation• Collaborated with training staff and colleagues to remodel the qualitative and quantitative data collection tool used by all health volunteers to analyze the state of health in their respective communities. • Implemented a Qualitative and Quantitative Data Collection tool for Community Analysis in a 6-month community assessment project to reveal the most pressing current health issuesGrant Writing• Awarded an eleven-thousand-dollar grant through the Peace Corps Partnership Program.• Received continuous training on various grants available from the US Government• Disseminated the information and provided trainings to the Peace Corps community in Nicaragua about grant indicators, the application process, and projected timelines
