Joining Unlock in 2008, I led the development of the charity’s award-winning services for people with convictions, including a national helpline, online information hub and disclosure calculator. I developed and led a number of areas of advocacy and policy initiatives that achieved systemic change through reforms to legislation and changes in policy and practice. I was a media spokesperson and sat on a number of national forums including being a member of an advisory group advising the Home Secretary on the disclosure of criminal records. I have worked in the voluntary sector since 2008. I have an LLB Law degree from the University of Hull and an LLM in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice from the University of Leeds.Outside of work, I am a trustee of YMCA Lincolnshire. I enjoy spending time with my young family and I can often be found running or cycling somewhere in the Lincolnshire countryside.
