Used RCA and FMEA analysis to optimize procedures, leading 2 NPI’s estimated to generate over 1 million USD.Lead Project Management of R&D projects for:a) Thermoplastic and thermoset polymers with flame retardant, conductive & other additives for EV batteries and various other industries.b) Silane grafted polyethylene resin with exceptional oil resistance for wire and cable market.c) Silicone formulations for wire and cable to expand companies product portfolio into higher temperature rated applications.Operate extruders and mills to blend plastics/composites and coat wires for R&D and QC testing.Write SOPs for production and lab with best practices of the plastics industry, using 5S events, Kaizen methods and various Lean / Six Sigma tools.Worked on Government of Canada SRED grant for R&D.

Developed new pigments for silicone products, analyzed and set colour standards for quality control in Canada, the Netherlands & China.Received General Electric WOW! award for 30% reduction of quality complaints. Implemented improved production procedures using Lean and Six Sigma techniques reducing lead times from 4 weeks to 2 weeks.Prepared monthly quality reports to Americas Quality Team, metrics reported were First Pass Yield (FPY), equipment utilization, ISO non-conformances and other measurements of plant operations.

Operated Scanning Electron Microscope to analyze mining core samples for precious metal content and bulk composition to determine mine site viability.Coordinated sampling of pilot plant operations to determine feasibility and efficiency of mineral processing procedures to assess mine viability.Analyzed industrial and residential wastewater and effluents to ensure compliance with government environmental regulations and produced daily reports on analysis of these tests.
