Owner / Operator. Founded an automotive salvage, parts, and storage company from the ground up. Turned a passion for cars into a small business supporting 2 full time and 2 part time employees.- Persuaded numerous government agencies to approve proper permits to permit an automotive salvage operation in downtown Milwaukee. Including a successful appeal of a rejection ruling from the Zoning Board. - Sourced inventory through public and dealer auctions, direct marketing, and online private party vendors.- Managed the day to day operation of all areas of the business including sales, customer service, marketing, staffing, etc.- Negotiated the profitable sale of the business in December, 2011.

~Oversaw company wide operations for two off campus college stores, and an online sales warehouse. ~Provided company wide support for the current DOS based textbook management system.~Recruited, hired, managed, and mentored staff for all locations. ~Created a strong, unified relationship with the various stake holders of book adoption information on campus.~Sold the concept of working with "The Students' Official Bookstore" to professors as a service the University's Official Bookstore could not offer. Accomplishments:~Increased the number of departments and professors who openly shared book adoption information, previously seen as confidential. ~Created and implemented a "Free Books at Sweeney's" promotion to drive customer traffic and build a customer database. This program resulted in a customer database that currently contains 90% of all students at Marquette.~Continuous contacts with students throughout the year via Facebook, MySpace and email campaigns resulted in online growth of more than 10% every year since 2004. Today the website generates more than 8 times the sales it did in 2003.
