I took a rather indirect path to my current position starting as a client's relationship manager in a correctional facility monitoring the day-day activities of inmates, observing and evaluating residents' treatment providing support in accordance with state and agency regulations. Afterward, promoted to Service Case Manager acting as a liaison between clients and community services, assessing housing needs and developing objectives to support the resident transition to the community with after-care services to reduce recidivism. I went on to work as a social worker with Contra Costa Children and Family Services, where I provide services to children who are vulnerable in the foster care system. I completed my master's in health care administration with a goal of transferring my myriad of experiences in human services to the healthcare sector.
