I bring over 30 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications sectors, with a specialisation in data centre development and fibre optic network deployment (including Subsea cable development). I have constructed in many countries, including France, Germany, Singapore and Australia and have worked on multinational contract negotiations for finance, procurement and delivery of subsea cable networks and landing stations.My career in data centre telecommunications started in 1993 in London as a Project Manager. After 10 years with my employer, reaching a Senior Management role as a National Construction Manager in Australia, I started my own contracting and consultancy business (2002) in Sydney and focused entirely on Data Centre developments and servicing client needs in this technical space. In more recent years I have worked in partnership with Turner and Townsend helping to secure data centre projects with Microsoft and NextDC.As a seasoned Project Director, I’ve led the design, commissioning, and delivery of hyperscale data centres, including multiple 30MW data centre campus project for Canberra Data Centres. I have delivered projects for many blue-chip clients including Verizon, Equinix, Microsoft and Amazon to name a few. My expertise extends into modular and prefabricated data centre solutions, where I’ve played a key role in delivering innovative edge and micro data centres, including the first Tier 4 compliant modular centre for NextDC in Perth.Currently, I serve as Projects Delivery Manager for Energy Power Systems Australia (Caterpillar), overseeing large power systems tailored to the Australian data centre market. My responsibilities as a Senior Manager include managing the project management office, data centre business development, procurement and driving financial KPIs for the business while liaising with global tech giants and overseeing complex projects.With a focus on technical delivery, procurement, infrastructure development and stakeholder management, I am subject matter expert in bringing large-scale data centre projects from concept to completion, ensuring safe timely delivery and operational excellence in an ever-evolving tech landscape.
