• Product evaluation and installation of a Ground Engaging Tool (GET) Loss Detection System which shall be implemented on a variety of Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) including wheel loader and excavators at Gudai-Darri. The primary use case for such a system is to provide an alert to the operator of the machine when it is believed a GET has become displaced from its position on the machine bucket. • Deliver a standard version of RoboFuel that can be deployed across Rio Tinto’s AHS sites. It includes, the design, manufacture, programming, installation and commissioning of an Auto Washdown Upgrade. System enhancements to facilitate the capture and analysis of fueling data for reporting improvements. • Implement improvements to the existing RoboFuel system deployed at Yandicoogina. The delivery of this project included the installation, commissioning and usage acceptance test of the provision for robot self-calibration and a Cap Bank upgrade. • Opportunity evaluation of implementing a remote controlled mini excavator for de-pegging small rocks on the grizzly within the Tom Price primary crusher.

The areas being transitioned focused on Domain, Messaging, Security, eRooms, and Documentum.Contribution: Implemented a significant number of changes to over 2000 users in readiness for migration of Enterprise Services to IBM. This included the reduction of all mailboxes to under 100MB and the upgrade and standardising of the SSM/NiW desktop environment to be compatible with the new services (Windows XP SP3, Office Communicator, Outlook, Java upgrades) and all associated Organisational Change Management communications. Facilitated the remediation / reconfiguration of all applications that utilise SMTP for mail relay and conducted an audit of all Blackberry devices and upgrades of any incompatible versions. Prepared legacy environment for decommissioning and migrated third-party remote access users to a new remote access application. Conducted training and testing for changed features of Documentum. Ensured successful transition of Service Management and support functions for all services from existing service providers to IBM.

Replacement of outdated Netfinity Servers and EPOS equipment across 115 stores, coordinating 3rd party resources and in house support teams, ensuring the customer is still able to trade during the upgrade. The testing and support of the infrastructure in Arcadia's first US store in New York City and the associated changes to the retail application in order for it to operate in a US environment. A replacement of the servers and 100 cash registers in Arcadia's flagship store in Oxford Circus, London with a resilient solution that ensures continuity of service in the event of a failure.

PM at Bradford and Bingley PlcProject Description: Project Manager at IBM@Bradford & Bingley, Contribution: Implemented the rollout of new equipment to 140 BBG Agents UK wide. Outdated PCs, printers and screens were replaced and a new OS and applications deployed to the user's desktop. Accomplished a major upgrade to the associated SAN, utilising and coordinating resources in the UK and India without loss of service or data to the customer. Responsible for a $1.8M infrastructure project which included the deployment of new Intel servers for a major programme. 90 servers were built, content loaded and service activated across Production, Pre-Production and Development environments. Sub-projects consisted of changes to Alteon Load Balancers, TSM server configurations, preparation of DR plans, creation of Citrix Production and Pre-Production environments, Production and Pre-Prod SQL Clustered environments, Middle-Tier and Active Directory clustered environments, and the rebuilds of 32 bit to 64 bit servers. 2 major sub-projects consisted of the cutover of 2 clustered File Servers to a 4 node cluster and an equivalent Print Server, 2 to 4 node upgrade. Managed the successful implementation of a new IBM hosted Oracle HR / Payroll application (HRMS), migrated from a mainframe based application (Cyborg), with no break in service.Was responsible for the IT element of the move and consolidation of a number of teams into the main Call Centre. 226 PCs were decommissioned and moved. In addition, new PCs were deployed; existing PCs were replaced with new builds and numerous screens were procured. This was completed with no disruption to normal service for the customer facing call centre staff.Held additional responsibilities to PM role; was a member of the Release Management Board, ensuring all changes adhered to the Change Management process; was a Project Quality Assurance (PQA) reviewer, ensuring that in-flight projects adhered to Project Quality standards.

SSR is an extension of the Customer Engineer (CE) role; with further responsibilities in account management, escalation of customer situations and recognising where IBM Services would improve the customer's IT operations.
