Initiated, lead and managed the research project “Characterizing the immunobiology of XCR1+ DC in melanoma-specific immune responses” in the Malissen laboratory that got awarded with an individual fellowship at the Fondation ARC. Within this research project I studied the immunobiology of XCR1+ cDC1 and myeloid cells in the setting of tumor immunology, in particular their immuno-/tolerogenic interactions with cancer cells and tumor antigen-specific T cells.

Lead and managed a collaborative research project in the Malissen laboratory, in cooperation with an external industrial partner (SANOFI “Innate immunocytes in Health and Disease” (I2HD)) in particular on the program on “modulating XCR1+ crosspresenting DC with tool compounds”. The aim of the project was to validate and characterize the novel XCR1Cre transgenic mouse model.

Research for PhD thesis in the Clausen laboratory, entitled: “Mechanisms of psoriatic plaque formation in mice”. Lead and managed research projects with the aim was to further investigate key cellular and molecular mechanisms driving psoriasis plaque formation. The research utilized the Imiquimod-induced mouse model and generated a novel transgenic mouse model.

Research for Diploma thesis in the laboratories Prof. Dr. Schuler, entitled: “Optimization of T-cell-stimulation by RNA-transfected DC”. The aim of this project was to test different DC preparations for their immuno-stimulatory functions with emphasis on their clinical usefulness.
