CurrentManaging civil construction contracts, including coordinating the design for civil engineering infrastructure projects, such as:Transit Road Infrastructure Programs - Liaised and coordinated initial design concept, budget and engineering service contracts with consultants, funding agreements with TransLink, procurement processes with contractors and Purchasing Department, field inspections, discrepancies and records, for 3 consecutive years, securing $157K of TransLink funding support, delivering $808K value of road infrastructure improvements at 29 locations.Metro Vancouver Utility Upgrades - Liaised and coordinated third party civil engineering designs and constructions, ensured all requirements and standards are met. Projects include Central Park Main Phase 1&2 ($11M), Douglas Road Water Main ($13M), Burnaby Lake North Interceptor No. 2 ($240K), etc.Infrastructure Canada Funding- Prepared applications and successfully secured National Active Transportation Grant funding for transportation planning and capital projects, receiving Canada contribution of $5.8M.Rail Safety Improvement Programs- Collaborated with Transport Canada, City’s Engineering, Operating & Finance teams, consultant & contractors, solved railway crossing upgrade problems, updated project status, agreements and progress claims for two projects ($1.0M).Example project: Fortis Pattullo Gas Line Replacement (3.3M Bike Route)- Managed project plans, design & specification revisions towards IFC, ensuring the scope, cost, scheduling and detailed works are in accordance with the contractual documents, City's Design Criteria, Supplemental Specifications and Details and other applicable standards;- Identified potential conflicts and additional requirements for coordination, permits, SRW, indigenous consultation, environmental and archeology impacts;- Liaised with internal and external parties, provided solution options for conflicts and constraints between gas lines and civic projects.
