At 22 years of age, Chris obtained his contractor’s license while selling Real Estate. Within a month, Thomsen Homes, LLC was born. From humble beginnings in a 1 room office, Chris was the sole employee and had responsibility for all areas of the business. In addition to building new construction homes, Chris also formed a company to purchase, rehab, and rent homes.His vision, 14 years later, has resulted in the construction of approximately 2,000 single family homes committed to Affordable Luxury Housing within the Fargo/Moorhead and Grand Forks area, while being Nationally recognized on the Inc. 5000 list four of the past five years.As Thomsen Homes has grown to approximately 45 talented team members, he has empowered others to be leaders in their own areas of expertise. The Thomsen Homes team is now led by Niels Thomsen as President, who has been instrumental in building the company with Chris over the past 10 years. Chris, Niels, and their team built the systems needed to see the company continue to grow. With a firm foundation, Chris has stepped back from the day-to-day functions of Thomsen Homes, remaining actively involved at a strategic level, and continuing his primary role within Thomsen Homes which is working with landowners and developers to provide sufficient buildable lots.Stepping back from the day-to-day functions of Thomsen Homes has allowed Chris time to create the BluPeak Group that fosters an environment to continue to build a family of companies. As CEO of BluPeak, Chris has joined his wealth of knowledge with BluPeak Leadership, the broad network of people in the Fargo Moorhead and Grand Forks areas and his passion to build new entities; to enrich the communities of Fargo/Moorhead, Grand Forks and beyond.
