Have served for over 2 decades as MAMLE board member and liaison to the New England League of Middle Schools. Directed, facilitated, and participated in a number of workshops, meetings, and conferences in Maine and beyond.

Design and provide highly customized workshops for clients focusing on leadership's role in effectively implementing and sustaining educational technology for student learning.

The Middle Level Education Institute was founded in 1985 to provide a significant professional development experience for Maine teachers, administrators, and parents to learn about all aspects of young adolescent growth and development and establishing and improving middle level schools.• Participants are encouraged to come in teams to work on a common project. • Significant blocks of time are reserved for teams to collaborate.• Consultants who have state and national perspectives support and coach the teams. • All sessions and/or components model exemplary middle level teaching practices. • Interactive daily general sessions engage participants in conversations about thought-provoking topics. • Upon registration, participant questions will be collected and used to plan concurrent afternoon sessions. These sessions feature outstanding teacher presenters sharing what works in the classroom.• Unique evening programs stimulate and offer a relaxed exchange of ideas as well as socializing and fun. • The use of technology and digital learning opportunities are integrated into all aspects of the Institute. • Networking opportunities with others from across the state and nation abound.

Overseeing Place-Based education grants in Maine for Project CO-SEED (Community- based School Environmental Education), in collaboration with Antioch New England Institute, Antioch Graduate School out of Keene, NH.

Educational Leader for the school. Implemented a comprehensive middle school program incorporating key components including interdisciplinary teaming and curriculum, full team integration of special education students and staff, flexible block scheduling, school-wide student advisory and advocacy, active middle school parent team concept mirroring middle school organization, student led conferencing, looping, school-wide gardening program, and integration of 1:1 teaching and learning with laptops. FMS was recognized as a New England Spotlight School of Excellence by the New England LEague of Middle Schools.
