I am a project, operational and process oriented person. I enjoy learning the roles of the departments that I work with so that I can work more efficiently since I understand what each person's needs are before and after my area of responsibility. I like to look at processes to understand the workflow, and question how they could possibly be improved.In my current role I work with multiple departments across the company at different levels communicating and coordinating open tasks that need to be complete in order for a project to be successful. I mostly work between Engineering and Procurement in order to establish purchasing and material timelines so that we have the right parts at the right time in the given phase of the project. This ranges from development, certification testing through production. I also find an appropriate route if we are not able to maintain the procurement timeline in order for us to keep the project schedule on-time, or if adjustments need to be made. I have the pleasure of transferring to Germany for my current employer so that I can learn how our main production facility works. I currently get to learn some new processes, a new culture, language, and communication styles since German is not my first language. During this time I get to learn a lot about myself, and improve how I communicate while working abroad as well as understanding first-hand how different cultures work together in order to come together to ensure project success!
