The Kentucky Center for Education and Workforce Statistics (KCEWS) collects and links data to evaluate education and workforce efforts in the Commonwealth. This includes developing reports and providing statistical data about these efforts so policy makers, agencies, and the general public can make better informed decisions. The Kentucky P20 Data Collaborative has been dissolved and its work is now being continued and expanded upon by KCEWS. This includes maintaining the Kentucky Longitudinal Data System (KLDS), a statewide longitudinal data system, as well as responding to requests for data and information, and providing reports on a number of topical areas including feedback about the performance of high school graduates after they go to college, developing the Kentucky County Profiles, and information about the outcome of teacher preparation, college, adult education, and other programs. Chuck is the System Architect for KCEWS, responsible for the overall design, expansion and maintenance of the infrastructure and application interfaces of Kentucky's longitudinal data system.

The Kentucky P20 Data Collaborative was dissolved and became KCEWS, that office is now KyStats with an expanded mission and broader scope . This includes maintaining the Kentucky Longitudinal Data System (KLDS), a statewide longitudinal data system, as well as responding to requests for data and information, and providing reports on a number of topical areas including feedback about the performance of high school graduates after they go to college, developing the Kentucky County Profiles, and information about the outcome of teacher preparation, college, adult education, and other programs.Mr. Murphy is the senior director of information systems and technical lead for KyStats. He is responsible for the overall design, expansion, security and maintenance of the infrastructure and application interfaces of Kentucky's longitudinal data system. Mr. Murphy served as the lead developer for KCEWS beginning in 2011, later the chief technology officer and system architect and has been involved in all development as the system has matured. Mr. Murphy has extensive experience in SQL database and .NET web development in support of a variety of information systems.

Chuck Murphy is the Chief Technology Officer/System Architect/Lead Developer for KCEWS. Chuck has extensive experience in SQL database and .NET web development in support of a variety of information systems. His background includes a career in the U.S. Marine Corps, and 15 years of developing web applications, communications technology, database applications, and reporting systems. Prior to this position, Chuck spent ten years developing and maintaining systems for the Kentucky Housing Corporation. Chuck is responsible for the overall design and maintenance of the infrastructure and application interfaces of Kentucky's longitudinal data system.

The Kentucky P-20 Data Collaborative is a joint effort from the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), the Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE), the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB), and the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet to create a shared P-20 data system. This system links data together from early childhood, K-12, postsecondary and other sources to allow us to develop a broader understanding the kind of broader implications that programs and policies really have on our state.
