I am the former Director of Learning and Development for Scaled Agile, Inc. located in Boulder, CO. Scaled Agile’s mission is to help software-dependent companies achieve better outcomes, increase employee engagement, and improve business economics through adoption of Lean-Agile principles and practices based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).I am responsible for building Scaled Agile's overall content development strategy and managing the entire learning and certification program for SAFe. The Scaled Agile Framework is used by large companies to effectively manage massive programming efforts that may involve hundreds or thousands of programmers developing extremely complex software products. Example companies include telecommunications, government, military contractors, and financial services.Scaled Agile supports tens of thousands of practitioners of the Framework through training, certification, consulting services, and a global partner network that reaches over 35 countries and 350 cities.

Managed multiple teams of instructional designers, multimedia developers and programmers to create effective learning simulations and solutions built on JavaScript, HTML 5, XML, or authoring tools (Storyline).Successfully guided clients and project teams through the Regis engagement lifecycle using project management tools (Trello, Confluence, JIRA Agile) and analytics (JIRA Financials) to meet project schedules and budget targets.Supervised a team of 10 employees and contractors developing a blended classroom and tabletop simulation experience delivered in 170 classroom sessions to 5,500 people leaders of a major U.S. railway company. Content focused on how to model key leadership tenets to employees.Coordinated the creation of an immersive learning simulation for 120 international managers of a Fortune 100 package delivery company. Content emphasized strategic thinking, collaborative management, and driving profit and ROIC. Simulation sessions were facilitated by the company's international executive management team.Led a team designing, creating and implementing a corporate university for a major federal government client. Customized an open source learning management system (LMS), migrated 17 legacy eLearning courses to new LMS, replicated existing student data, and produced 6 additional SCORM-based eLearning courses which supported 650 employees.

I served as President and Past President of the Front Range Chapter of ISPI, the International Society for Performance Improvement. My term ran from July 2008 thru June 2009.As Chapter President I worked with my excellent Board to deliver useful, informative programs to our members and to set the direction of the Chapter for the near future.As Past President I chaired the Chapter Steering Committee and assisted with technology, finance, and social networking activities.

Developed, marketed and provided contract consulting services and instructional content development for companies to produce strategic learning plans, improved workplace performance, and enhanced workplace productivity.Created a Project-Based Learning course for Oracle Education Foundation, delivered globally to improve competencies of hundreds of teachers.Presented and demonstrated Virtual Worlds: Innovative Platforms for Business and Education to the executive management team of Alta Colleges.Created information architecture, website design, search engine optimization and content for a Colorado music festival website. New design resulted in a 15x increase in weekly website traffic.

Managed and mentored a team of 7 instructional designers and trainers to deliver training to 500 Level 3 Customer Project Managers (CPMs) distributed across the U.S.Applied performance improvement methods and business process focus which led to significant improvements to Level 3's technical training.Led the Learning and Performance team using Captivate, Camtasia, and Adobe Connect to develop and deliver web-based multimedia eLearning products, virtual instructor-led webinars, interactive process demonstrations, and assessment instruments deployed to 250 CPMs.

Managed programs for Sun's Knowledge and Data Operations that aligned key knowledge industry and marketplace trends with Sun's customer-facing knowledge management strategies. Managed a global cross-functional team to develop Sun Connection News Network, a web-based delivery of streams of valuable, relevant, and timely content for approximately 100,000 Sun customers, employees and partners.Managed Sun's Knowledge & Data Operations $10 million budget to within a 2% variance.Worked with third-party vendors and universities to research emerging technology-based learning trends. Demonstrated new technologies and developed prototypes for implementation into Sun's enterprise learning and knowledge management systems.Managed Sun's corporate relationship with Stanford Research Institute Corporation “Learning on Demand” program. Presented SRIC learning research findings and project reports to Sun executive management.Served as the learning expert on a Six Sigma team analyzing “Critical to Quality” requirements necessary to perform Learning Content Management System (LCMS) vendor evaluation. Demonstrated effective multimedia and instructional design methods to Sun project teams to improve Sun's technology-based learning products.Received Sun Microsystems 2000 Sun Top Achievement Recognition Summit Award for leading a team that developed an XML-based learning object content repository, authoring and delivery system designed to enhance Sun Educational Services content production.

Managed a project team implementing learning technology in the Focus:HOPE Center for Advanced Technology in Detroit Michigan, and a performance improvement team to revamp aluminum welding capabilities at the Honolulu Shipyard.
