About Chuck Liedike

Chuck Liedike has been an avid follower of the political process since his youth. Determined to make a difference as he grew older, he decided to pursue a career in politics and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from West Chester University in 2006. Chuck’s collegiate leadership was well recognized, as former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell appointed him as the sole student to serve on the University’s Council of Trustees in 2004. Following his graduation, Chuck was offered the position of Field Director for a PA State House campaign. With his strong encouragement to promote a bi-partisan agenda, he became a great asset in helping the candidate win the seat. Following the conclusion of the campaign, Chuck focused on graduate studies and earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Local Government Administration from Widener University. Next, he accepted the position of Government Affairs Director for the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors®. In this role, he was responsible for advancing the Association’s legislative goals. Chuck then served as the Campaign Manager for Real Reform 76. This state-wide initiative advocated for the passage of Senate Bill 76. If passed, this bill would have eliminated property taxes levied by schools. Chuck was selected for this intensive role due to his knowledge of PA politics, his ability to build state-wide grassroots coalitions and his expertise in effectively detailing its economic impact. Currently, Chuck is the Director of Field Operations & Grassroots for the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors®. In this role, he manages four political field representatives. Collectively, they promote private property rights and provide advocacy for property owners in 47 of the 67 counties in Pennsylvania. Further, he manages the association's grassroots efforts for its 39,000 members. In June 2018, he was appointed to serve as a township supervisor in Lower Frederick Township. He held the position until December 2019. Chuck continues to serve as a campaign consultant for several state and local campaigns across suburban Philadelphia and beyond. For the last two years, Chuck has led PAR's statewide efforts to educate Realtors® on how to successfully run for political office.Lastly, Chuck's experience spans candidate and issue campaigns, grassroots advocacy, local government administration, planning/zoning, smart growth and more.

By tracking and analyzing legislation affecting the real estate industry, I created advocacy campaigns. This partnership enlists Realtors® in the selling of municipally-owned, vacant properties in order to get them placed into productive use;- Selected to steering committee to provide analysis towards substantial school property tax reform in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;- Led statewide in fundraising efforts; - First local Realtors® association in the country to acquire funding for campaign school training. - Recipient of several grants for smart growth education planning, professional polling of local residents on passenger rail service/transportation, municipal assistance programming and seminars;- Provided presentations nationally for housing programs initiated via my program.

I served as the Campaign Manager for Real Reform 76. This state-wide initiative advocated for the passage of Pennsylvania Senate Bill 76. If passed, this bill would have eliminated school property taxes, which would have saved Pennsylvania property owners thousands of dollars each year. I was selected for this intensive role due to my knowledge of Pennsylvania politics, my ability to build state-wide grassroots coalitions and my expertise in effectively detailing SB 76’s economic impact. The bill reached the Pennsylvania Senate floor in December 2015. The tie vote was decided by the Lieutenant Governor, who voted against the bill. This effectively ended the campaign.Accomplishments:- Provided presentations at town halls in 33 of the 67 counties in Pennsylvania.- Covered by various TV and radio networks, as well as local newspapers throughout Pennsylvania.- Educated organizations about the merits of the bill, i.e. Chamber, Homebuilders Association, etc.- Personally wrote and ghost-wrote letters to the editor for distribution across Pennsylvania.- Met with key legislators opposed to the bill to learn their concerns, alleviate misconceptions and to push for a positive vote.- Compiled common myths perpetrated about the bill, and provided the "truth behind the spin" on these inaccurate statements.

By analyzing statistical information such as demographics and voter trends for the Pennsylvania 156th House district, I designed a “Get Out the Vote strategy” for the candidate and our campaign team. By meeting with local residents, businesses and organizations, I ensured the candidate had strong name recognition and “likeability.” I created several fundraisers and recruited volunteers to assist our efforts. Lastly, I prepared Election Day schedules for the candidate and campaign team which included priority precinct visibility.Accomplishments:- Recognized by the Governor and members of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives for our innovative efforts in winning a district considered strongly in favor of the opponent;- Individually met with thousands of residents in just over three months, which provided me with a solid understanding of the different political perspectives of the legislative district;- Created one of the largest “Get Out the Vote” initiatives in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by gathering enthusiastic residents, students and other friends to knock on doors, phone bank and drive voters to the polls.
