Optimized operational performance through initiation and prioritization of continuous improvement initiatives, lean techniques, and leadership of process reengineering and/or software projects to ensure delivery of customer expectations. Reported directly to Vice President, Operations Led Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Global Design to replace three ERP systems across 23 locations, on time and under budget. Responsible for 25 consultants and an equivalent number of Elkay personnel.  Increased subassembly inventory accuracy from 50% to 90% and finished goods delivery from 75% to 95% for manufacturing plant by leading project to restructure inventory management and pull-scheduling in PeopleSoft.  During these assignments, earned MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2010.

Ran Bolingbrook, Illinois, distribution center and relocated it to two other facilities. Led and continuously improved sales and operations planning (S&OP) process. Enhanced production scheduling and inventory management processes in plants. Reported directly to Vice President, Operations While managing and motivating a Teamsters union workforce facing job elimination in 2008, led and completed DC relocation project on time and under budget, with only two days' shipping interruption. Saved in excess of $2M annually.  Achieved inventory reductions from $44M to $38M through development and implementation of inventory parameter management processes within PeopleSoft ERP, and training of Elkay’s planners on same. Recognized with company competitive excellence award after conceiving, initiating, and leading project in 2007 to automate pull-scheduling in manufacturing plant. Process was deemed “best practice” and adopted at three other plants.  Led plant and customer service cross-functional team to improve on-time shipping performance from 100% in 14 days to 100% in 7 days. As of 2Q2011, division plants were achieving 95% on-time and complete shipments in 7 days.

Led and continuously improved Elkay's sales and operations planning process by spearheading cross-functional teams to eliminate process issues that prevented on-time shipping. Reported directly to Vice President, Operations Recaptured market share from European competitor Blanco by leveraging Elkay’s reputation for better service. Improved division delivery performance from 55% within 14 days in mid-2004 to consistently above 80% in 2005.  Realized savings far exceeding initial $250,000 investment in well under one year by implementing custom nesting software to manage steel master coil slitting. Recognized with company competitive excellence award. Recognized with company competitive excellence award in 2005 for justifying, initiating, and leading project to replace spreadsheet-based forecasting process with John Galt software and integrating it with PeopleSoft. Selected to participate in Elkay's fast-track leadership-development program, Elkay Executive Pipeline, and facilitated Elkay’s 2006 strategic planning process.

Led team responsible for support and development of ERP and other applications, and appropriately aligned IT resources with strategic efforts. Team comprised fourteen information systems analysts and managers. Represented IT on division steering committee, which included the division president and all functional vice presidents. Reported directly to Chief Information Officer. Co-led the team to upgrade PeopleSoft ERP systems to become Internet-enabled, a division-wide management incentive objective for 2004 that achieved a 4.25/5.0 rating due to the ease of transition. This was accomplished despite having to replace much of the technical infrastructure and retrain everyone. Achieved inventory reductions of $10M while improving delivery performance by designing, developing, and implementing sales and operations planning software to link sales, production, and inventory planning.  In 2002, implemented QSI ISO Document Management System to enable division ISO Certification. The software demonstrated to ISO auditors that each department's quality processes were continuously improved and utilized for training. Also in 2002, implemented and integrated Watertech acquisition on PeopleSoft—on time and under budget, enabling the company to offer a new line of products to its customers.

Co-led the Production Planning/Management subteam during the PeopleSoft ERP selection and implementation projects. All of Elkay’s information systems and infrastructure were replaced, requiring extensive business process re-design.Enabled Elkay to grow sales without adding Customer Service personnel by leading IT team responsible for Aurora software development, which extended customer order entry and inquiry capabilities into Elkay reps’ offices. The project required use of new client-server technology, yet was completed on time/on budget.Unanimously voted leader of Application Delivery team—Elkay’s first experiment with a self-directed work team.Cited consistently for excellent customer service and knowledge of business in performance reviews.
