Led and managed high performance teams, including technical, cost and schedule, for Radar, Electronic Warfare, Communications, Navigation, Computing, Data Networks, Surveillance, Defensive Systems and Flight Management Systems. • Chief engineer for an organization of up to approximately 300 engineers involved in systems engineering, hardware and software development, technical subcontractor management, air-vehicle design, system integration, verification and test.• Ensured overall technical integrity and integration of the AWACS Block 40/45 program and Advanced Projects• Additional responsibilities included: managing technical risk on the program, organizing and conducting independent reviews, and organizing and reviewing critical trade studies, managing program lab and Capital budgets, and deploying engineering processes and tools.

• Managed development, integration and analysis of new sensor and signal processing capabilities for airborne surveillance systems including Boeing’s Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). • Responsibilities included managing a staff of Boeing engineers and scientists and managing major subcontractors.• Acquired funding for and successfully managed multiple R&D contracts as well as company funded IR&D.• Managed development of a software system that performs multi-sensor fusion and resource management for AWACS and other applications. • Managed integration and checkout (I&CO) and test activities of AWACS Block 40/45 prototype mission systems and advanced technology demonstrations on the AWACS TS-3 aircraft• Led a diverse team including engineering, shop, QA, and suppliers to successfully complete I&CO within budget and recovered 5 weeks of program schedule inherited from prior phases• Resulting integrated system and subsystems met or exceeded all key technical performance requirements• Program achieved 100% award fee for the I&CO phase and >99% cumulative award fee over the entire contract
