As a Consultant in Maverick Technologies' Operational Consulting group, Chuck's focus was front-end engineering and project planning for industrial control system migration projects. With an emphasis on business strategy, he worked with the customer to help define solutions based on need, in order to maximize value and minimize expenditure. He used his skills in cost estimation, technical writing, scheduling, and communication to produce deliverables that have meaningful impact to the customer, all while using his unique soft skills to make the process as enjoyable as possible.Responsibilities included: • Assess statuses of current systems and propose solutions for system migration. • Coordinate efforts of engineers, field service, and/or subject matter experts to collect all data necessary to conduct value-based comparisons centered on customer needs. • Aide the customer in developing Request For Proposal (RFP) documents for vendors as well as assist in the solicitation and management of vendor responses. • Develop Total Installed Cost (TIC) assessments as well as facilitate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) evaluations for many different systems. • Develop reports that compile all accumulated data and present findings to the customer and stakeholders via formal presentation. • Lead network security teams to assess network security. Work with the customer’s internal controls group, as well as IT to architect solutions that keep internal systems secure from attacks. • Provide expertise in virtualization for business and manufacturing IT.
