  • Independent / Consultant
    Media And Communications Planning
    Independent / Consultant 2019 - Present
Working as a consultant has both positive and negative connotation. I have often worked as a consultant between other roles, for example, I worked regularly between 2010-2012, and started back in 2019. One of the clear benefits is the ability to partner with agencies to provide media/strategic planning services including media planning, digital marketing, business intelligence, and business development. Another positive benefit is having some flexibility, and autonomy to take on projects. I have an impressive client list of the best in the business, and I am so grateful to have such an awesome client base who trust me to provide expertise across media planning/buying, digital marketing, and new business initiatives, for various projects including annual media plan development/buys, one-off media assignments, and agency reviews. I designed multicultural content, promotional strategies, and B2B media plans on owned channels to drive tune-in and engagement for multiple clients, as well as identify, target, and secure lucrative sponsorships.
  • Arenas Entertainment
    Evp, Media
    Arenas Entertainment 2017 - 2019
    Los Angeles, California, Us
I worked with Arenas Entertainment from 2004-2007 and enjoyed my role there and so I took the opportunity to join them again as they were rebuilding and modernizing their operations. This role gave me the opportunity to manage a well-performing team to provide strategic and thought leadership in overseeing agency accounts, developing media plans, networking with prospective clients, delivering presentations and acting as primary client contact. By this point, I was well known for my ability to expertly and fluently communicate in Spanish and English, and this expanded the levels of plans/campaigns I was assigned, and the language and culture I infused have really brough a new perspective in leading digital/linear media planning and buying. In order to optimize both organic social and paid social strategies to client accounts, I consistently reviewed results to uncover areas of need, and launched highly successful influencer marketing and paid social media channels. I still had some involvement with past clients and some of those world-recognized brands I worked with earlier in my career, which was very exciting! Examples of my client base at Arenas entertainment to include 20th Century Fox, Disney Studios, Electric Entertainment, Los Angeles Archdiocese, and Warner Bros. I enjoyed strategizing with others to create exciting messaging and plans, from ideation to go live, both in English and Spanish. In order to achieve the most effective results, I developed specific and measurable KPIs, in tandem with analytics and media teams and fostered collaboration in the creation of multi-channel content plans with strategy and creative teams. Lastly, I interpreted research and provided insight and thought leadership that effectively translated brand marketing objectives into succinct media strategies that drive results and performance for the Hispanic market.
  • Rapp
    Vp, Media
    Rapp 2016 - 2017
    New York, Ny, Us
I was drawn to RAPP’s mission to embrace both the eccentric and the eclectics. As VP of Media, I led the company’s U.S. media business, where I provided leadership in media planning and campaign stewardship, managed multimillion media billings and led a large team of planners and buyers for new accounts such as Hainan Airlines, Spoonful One, and Xoom. In fact, I helped increase Xoom’s media billings, support Hispanic upfront strong CPMs and integrations by securing paid social/video business, and united media team as a result of the merger between RAPP and Direct Partners. I expanded the company’s paid social and influencer marketing campaigns, by establishing protocol and measurement practices, and delivered analytical leadership across performance media channels, all plans which received positive attention from senior leadership team. I developed and applied my experience to ensure consistency of go-to-market approach, created synergies across departments to accomplish campaign KPIs, and developed/implemented a multi-year media transformation roadmap to drive portfolio growth. Here again, my multicultural sensibilities, alongside my bilingual skills, helped the company evolve the sophistication of media by unifying and integrating disparate media priorities across the organization into a successful centralized function and center of excellence. I also delivered actionable/strategic insights by leaning into automation solutions, rethinking measurement from last-click to data-driven attribution, and driving quality, effectiveness and impact of media and content strategy. I gained an impressive reputation for outstanding ability to translate digital and industry trends into succinct, compelling, conversational language for high-value clientele across multiple industries.
