I am a problem-solver and I really enjoy facing the challenge of a creative crisis and coming up with a number of potential solutions. I guess it's that whole "teach a man to fish" parable that fuels my sharing of information. I was a member of FTA in high school and considered becoming a teacher at the college level while working towards my Bachelor Degree. It was after a series of life-changing events that the opportunity of teaching at Nossi presented itself to me. Don't stop learning; you can never learn too much. The modern world of graphic design and output is changing quite rapidly. The world in which a student enters school can be quite different two to four years later when they graduate. I put forth a simple challenge -- try and learn something new every project and then try to incorporate that in the next one and so on. The more you learn and are able to apply only increases your worth. I have seen so many changes in the thirty years I've been professionally involved in the world of graphic design. And although I only teach computer graphic programs, I am also a traditional artist, my preferred media include pen-and-ink, charcoal, chalk pastel, marker and colored pencils. My freelance jobs have ranged from logo creation to concept design and from portraits to corporate-level design seminars.
Listed skills include Layout, Art, Mac, Indesign, and 25 others.
