Since my last buying role in November 2019, with the challenges of the pandemic and the new normal, I embraced the opportunity to complete various online courses and projects, alongside my parenting and home duties. Being a lifelong learner, and to keep abreast with employability skills, I focused on upskilling on digital subjects and remote team project work. My latest achievement is completing the Future Skills Bootcamp with Digital Mums, and prior to this, gaining certifications from an employability course with the Successful Mums Academy. I am continuing to actively search for my next step, to find a career that I am passionate about. I am developing my lifelong learning in coding and currently studying courses in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I have also returned to Successful Mums and currently on a Careers Coaching Programme. My background has been in the UK retail industry, buying a variety of products across children and adults categories. In my last buying role, I worked with a sustainable e-commerce baby and kids brand. I have a comprehensive knowledge of product development and production. I have successfully proven to exceed target margins and improved ranges to increase sales. Whilst on career breaks in between buying roles, I explored working in different industries. For example, the arts, charities, and landscaping. I have demonstrated that my skills are transferable by applying myself to other positions. I enjoy supporting people and undertook voluntary work for local and international charities. I was a walking leader for new mums for Mind mental health, and I helped students with their literacy, to name a few. I am interested in the following opportunities:- Roles in education, charities, and tech.- Flexible/remote working.- Open to other opportunities that support flexible and remote working.Transferable key strengths:- Researching, identifying opportunities, and delivering projects.- Ability to manage complex critical paths and extensive diaries.- Coordinating and prioritising heavy workloads for the teams/suppliers.- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships.- Negotiation - price, quantity, and delivery. Achieved and exceeded margin targets.- Streamlining/implementing systems and adapting to new processes.- Collaborative teamwork and management skills.- Passionate about helping people: mentoring and coaching.- Hardworking, friendly, and positive personality.
